ESR 04: Juan Santo Domingo Peñaranda
Bio
Born and raised in Cartagena, a small city the south-eastern part of Spain, I knew I wanted to be an inventor since I was a kid. I coursed my pure chemistry studies at the University of Murcia, but I did one exchange year at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro (UNCG), where I did an internship in Electrospinning of Cu nanofibers at JSNN in the group of Dr. Jianjun Wei; and carried out my final thesis at UGent in the group of Prof. Christophe Detavernier in the field of Atomic Layer Deposition, after which I have continued with the hard work in this PhD as ESR 4.
Additionally, I have experience in the entrepreneurial world after my work within the Junior Enterprise network, as the President of the chemistry Junior Enterprise at the University of Murcia and as the International Manager of the Spanish Confederation of Junior Enterprises (CEJE), where I learnt the real value of productivity, proactivity and belonging to a network. .
