ESR 02: Parmish Kaur
Bio
Ms Parmish Kaur was born and brought up in Panipat, Haryana, INDIA. She received Bachelors of Science (B.Sc.) in Chemistry from Hindu College, University of Delhi in 2016 and Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad (Gold Medalist) in 2018. Her M.Sc. thesis project focused on ‘Environmentally benign Ammonia Borane/Hydrogen Peroxide Microfluidic Fuel Cells’. She gained experience in electrochemical characterization techniques, photo-lithography, soft-lithography, etching and sputtering deposition. She worked under Sakura Science Program promoted by the Japanese Science and Technology Agency of Japanese Government under the scheme - “Science and Technology Exchange Activity Course” on “Synthesis and Characterization of Photo catalyst for organic dye degradation” under the guidance of Prof. Yasuhiro Hayakawa, Research Institute of Electronics, Shizuka University, Hamamatsu, Japan in 2018.
Parmish joined the HYCOAT Network as an early stage researcher in September 2018. Her research project will involve precursor chemistry for ALD/MLD process. The main focus will be to identify and synthesize organic precursors that will be compatible with inorganic precursors for the ALD/MLD processes. Within the scope of this network, there will be research collaboration carried out with other research partners in the HYCOAT consortium.
