CIC nanoGUNE
CIC nanoGUNE Consolider is a not-for-profit research centre of the Basque government in Spain, active in nanotechnology. The mission is addressing both basic and applied research, fostering high-standard training and education and promoting cooperation with scientific institutions and the industrial sector. It is a part of the CIC cooperative which includes further institutes in the field of biomaterials, biology, energy, microtechnology, etc. The main area of expertise of the Nanomaterials group, led by Prof. Mato Knez, is the application of thin film coatings to functionalize structures for optical, electronic and biomedical purposes and to investigate and understand diffusion phenomena of the reactive ALD precursors into polymeric substrates and chemical interactions of the precursors with the polymers.
